Warranty on Split Air Conditioning Systems
Your EcoAir products are guaranteed against faulty parts as a result of manufacturer’s workmanship and material for a period of 12 months from the date of the original purchase date.
Parts Warranty
This warranty is limited to parts or product warranty only. Faulty parts or product must be returned to the manufacturer's UK site for repair or replacement.
Terms & Conditions of Warranty
1) We reserve the right to repair or replace in part your product under warranty,
which we
deem to be faulty or replace your entire system, at our discretion.
2) We will not be responsible for any installation, reinstallation or remedial charges that you
may incur.
3) Your warranty will be invalid if the product:-
- has been poorly or incorrectly installed, badly maintained or
serviced by unqualified refrigeration personnel,
- has been incorrectly
used, including undersized system
- had an incorrect power supply
- had been accidentally or deliberately damaged, or the system has been altered or tampered
with by unauthorised persons, for any reason
Proof of workmanship by qualified personnel may be
required to validate a claim.
4) We are not liable for any losses or
liability for incidental or consequential
damages or costs.
5) All goods to be returned to us must display a valid RMA number
which has to be issued by our Returns Department; otherwise the
goods will be refused. We will arrange a collection of the return.
However, we do not accept any responsibility for any damage caused in
transit. It
is
your responsibility to ensure the goods are suitably packaged to
travel via
courier services back to us. Any faults arising from a
manufacturing fault will be rectified by us at no cost to you and will
be delivered to you free of charge during the warranty period.
6) A charge may be made if:-
- a product is returned to us without an RMA approval, or
- is received outside the warranty period, or
- we found the product returned has no fault arising from a manufacturing defect, or found fault arising from misuse, incorrect installation or
negligence (which is specifically excluded from this
guarantee).
This guarantee is only
available in UK mainland (excluding Northern Ireland, The Channel Islands,
Isle of
Man & Scottish islands).
A qualified installer or personnel must be a member
of ACRIB or HVCA or an ECOAIR approved installer and must be legally qualified to handle gas refrigerant. You should keep their gas commissioning report or invoice together with your proof of purchase in the event of a warranty claim.
Exceptions to professional installations on certain products
There are exceptions to the requirement for a qualified installer for the following products:
a) DIY Air Conditioning Models ECO902SQ(N), ECO1202SQ(N), ECO906SQ, ECO1206SQ & ECO1806SQ. These models are intended for self installation, therefore the manufacturer warranty will not be restricted due to lack of professional installation if you install it yourself. Any manufacturing faults arising on these items will be repaired and made good provided you return the item to us for diagnosis and repair.
